Video Course / Qigong for Every Meridian

The Basic 8

Every organ in your body runs on a channel of energy the old traditions called a meridian, and when a channel is blocked, the organ it feeds runs blocked too. This is the eight-movement set that opens all of them. It gets your qi moving, works a different organ system with every movement, and in the tradition it builds your Wei Qi, the protective qi that stands guard at the surface of you and pushes out what does not belong. A few minutes a day. From the Chi Lel lineage, and the ground Tao Tan Pai is built on.

The Eight Movements

ONE MOVEMENT, ONE MERIDIAN

Here is what makes this set different. Each of the eight movements is tied to a specific organ and the meridian that feeds it, so one time through sends qi down every major channel you have. The first six open the twelve organ meridians. The last two gather it all up into the Ren and the Du, the master channels that govern every yin and every yang line in the body.

01

Movement 1

Lung & Large Intestine

Opens the Lung and Large Intestine channels, the metal element. In the tradition this is the pair that rules the breath and the skin, and it anchors the first layer of your defensive qi.

02

Movement 2

Stomach & Spleen

Opens the Stomach and Spleen channels, the earth element, the digestive center where Chinese medicine says your qi and your blood are built.

03

Movement 3

Heart & Small Intestine

Opens the Heart and Small Intestine channels, the fire pair, home of the Shen, the settled and steady mind the tradition seats in the Heart.

04

Movement 4

Bladder & Kidney

Opens the Bladder and Kidney channels, the water element, the deep reserve the tradition calls the root of your life force and your will.

05

Movement 5

Pericardium & Triple Burner

Opens the Pericardium and Triple Burner channels, the fire ministers that shield the Heart and move warmth and fluids through the whole torso.

06

Movement 6

Liver & Gallbladder

Opens the Liver and Gallbladder channels, the wood element, the pair that keeps qi flowing freely and, when it stalls, the tradition ties to tension and a stuck, frustrated feeling.

07

Movement 7

Ren, the Conception Vessel

Gathers everything up the front midline into the Ren, the Conception Vessel, the master channel that governs every yin meridian in the body.

08

Movement 8

Du, the Governing Vessel

Draws it up the back midline into the Du, the Governing Vessel, the master channel over every yang meridian, then seals it all in the lower Dantian.

Questions

BEFORE YOU ENROLL

Do I need any experience with Qigong?

None at all. Everything is taught from the beginning, slowly and step by step, so you can learn the whole set before you ever try to run it as one flow.

What does opening the meridians actually mean?

In Chinese medicine your organs are fed by channels of energy called meridians, and health is qi flowing freely through them. This set moves qi down each channel in turn. It is offered as traditional practice and support, not as a medical treatment.

Will this help my immune system?

In the tradition, Wei Qi is the body's protective or defensive qi, the layer said to guard the surface and push out what does not belong, and sets like this one are practiced to build it. I will be honest about the lanes though. That is the traditional model, not a claim I am making under a microscope, and it is not a substitute for medical care. What I can tell you is that people who practice consistently say they feel more resilient. Talk to a good functional medicine doctor for anything medical.

How long does the practice take?

A few minutes once you know it. You learn the eight movements one at a time, then the whole set becomes a short daily practice you can do almost anywhere.

How is this different from the other Qigong in your courses?

The Basic 8 is a complete foundational health set from the Chi Lel lineage. It is the natural on-ramp to the deeper Tao Tan Pai cultivation, and it stands on its own as a daily practice for anyone.

How do I get access after I enroll?
