Practitioner guides

Find a practitioner worth your time

Functional medicine doctors, biological dentists, Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic practitioners, functional chiropractors and acupuncturists. United States.

Most practitioner directories are membership rosters with a map bolted on. They tell you who paid their dues, not who takes your kind of case, runs the test you need, or has an opening this month. These guides show you how to vet someone yourself: what the credentials actually mean, what a first visit costs, and what to ask before you book.

Check what a practitioner is licensed to do before you book. This matters more than it sounds. An Ayurvedic practitioner is not licensed to diagnose or treat disease anywhere in the United States, and a naturopath licensed in Utah has a different scope than one in a state with no licensure at all. Both can be genuinely useful. You are simply entitled to know which one you are booking.

Each guide covers what the credentials actually mean, what a first visit costs, what to ask before you book, and where else to search.
